Osteopathy Cobargo

Hello. Nicole and I are safe and sound.

Unfortunately I will be unable to reopen for now as we have relocated to Canberra. Words cannot really express the magnitude of events. Feeling and integrating this density of experience is paramount to a collective healing and renewal. With Love, Compassion & Kindness.    Dr Craig Patrick

OSTEOPATHY COBARGO offers assessment and treatment for common musculoskeletal conditions such as:

  • chronic and acute low back pain
  • neck pain
  • headache
  • occupational overuse injuries
  • shoulder injuries and dysfunction (e.g. impingement and rotator cuff pathology)
  • upper and lower limb injuries
  • sporting and traumatic injuries
  • postural strain

Osteopathic treatment can also help with the musculoskeletal and neuromuscular aspects of:

  • asthma and breathing difficulties
  • arthritic conditions like osteoarthritis

In addition to skilled hands-on manual medicine, OSTEOPATHY COBARGO incorporates  movement practices to improve your strength, stability and mobility.

I have been in osteopathic practice since graduating from RMIT in 2002. My approach to osteopathy is best described as ‘enactive’. An enactive approach is about working with patients to bring about conceptual change,  insight and new ways of inhabiting a body through action. This therapeutic approach oftentimes includes a good deal of basic pain science, exploration and prescription of functional movement practices as well as related anatomy & physiology. These are situated in the wider context of your lived experience. This way of working sits well in an increasingly evidence-informed and biopsychosocial healthcare environment.

I am a very hands-on osteopath. I employ a wide variety of osteopathic techniques and continually endeavour to attune my approach to the needs and characteristics of every patient because every patient has a unique experience and understanding of their own body.

Along with my partner Nicole Neveu, I am co-developer of MESHWORKa learning platform that explores embodiment as the basis of health. MESHWORK is a synthesis of our approaches to basic issues of being in a body. MESHWORK courses reflect our commitment to up-skilling patients in a manner that promotes resilience and a capacity for intelligent and comprehensive self care.
